Hi all:

As I'm getting ready for some small amp operation, I need to test a tuning aid.
As I don't have a manual antenna tuner yet, is it possible to connect the autable tuning aid between my feed line and transceiver and use the internal auto tuner to try and detect a decrease in pitch when the tuner starts up? Are these tuning aids primarily connected between the transceiver and a manual tuner to operate successfully?
If the device has to go between the transceiver and manual tuner, what is the best setting the tuner should be set at in order to get an accurate indication of a decrease in pitch?
