Remember, you can run the f6 as a basic radio.  You don't have to use all
the bells and whistles.  What these guys are talking programming are the
preset weather channels that are scanned up when you hit the number 4 on
the keyboard.  I've owned many many talkies, and find the f6 very easy to
use.  Don't be discouraged, you can just leave those channels in tact if
you wish.
