Hi.
I just got off the phone with Ball Park Franks (Sara Lee, actually,
who owns them). I checked the archives in the past 2 years to see if
there was any discussion of this -- but only some posts from Vicki
about the White Meat Turkey Franks (which are really good).
The customer service person happily informed me that *ALL* Ball Park
Franks are GF. (I'm sure she's not referring to products such as
Corn Dogs, of course -- but to just "franks.") She said it is their
policy to disclose any gluten products on the label -- so if you
don't see it, they aren't putting it in there.
I didn't think to clarify with her if she was referring to Sara Lee
-- or just to Ball Park -- as far as the labeling comment. I'm
pretty sure there's not likely a Sara Lee product that's GF in all
the world, so it's probably just a moot point anyway. I'm just happy
to know there's a bit of real junk food that I can eat without
getting gluten! :-)
(PLEASE, no posts about how unhealthy hot dogs are in every other
way. I'm a grown-up and like to be able to pick my poisons.)
-Suzanne
