Dear ListMembers,

My sister has just been diagnosed with parathyroid and thyroid problems and
has been told both need to be removed. She has not been tested for celiac
disease, but it runs in our family and both my daughter and I think she
shows many symptoms of it. I'm wondering if parathyroid/thyroid problems
are common for those of us who do have celiac disease. I'd appreciate any
information you have on this.

Also, we need the name of a doctor in the Boston area who is knowledgeable
about CD/GI.

Thanks for any help you can give us.

Peg S.
