Hi, Listmates.
A number of months ago I posted a question about my symptom of ongoing periods of profound fatigue. I also asked if there was a site for people with general autoimmune difficulties. I am strictly gf for nearly 3 years and no longer anemic, stored iron reaching optimum levels. Shortly after my post, my homefront had a couple of crises that delayed my posting a summary, however, the delay has proved quite enlightening, as I've learned some answers about my fatigue that I wanted to pass along.
Food Allergies-- Someone posted to me to look into food allergies. I have identified without a doubt malaise and brain fog a day after ingesting ice cream, and especially ice cream with chocolate chips. There are a few other foods, each involving sugar, too.
Sjogrens Syndrome-- I've consulted with a specialist; I have the symptoms. Testing is ongoing.
STRESS-- this has proved to be the main problem with my fatigue. When I get under stress from more activity than my body can handle, anger, frustration, an enormous fatigue comes over me. I have eliminated stress all over the place, make a determined effort to be happy and at peace, and I'm feeling amazingly well. I've accepted that I have a limited amount of energy.
I will post the sites for autoimmune in a separate e-mail.
