Thanks to everyone who replied to my post asking about gf teething biscuits for a 12-month-old child.

The consensus is that there are no gf teething biscuits on the market (there are wheat free teething biscuits, but my research -- and the research of other respondents -- revealed that these usually contain oats or some other product with gluten).

Two respondents were firmly opposed to all teething biscuits, gf or not.

Others substituted pieces of fruits and vegetables, including hard pieces of apples, carrots, turnips, potatoes, celery, cucumber -- cold, cut into chunks (and of course respondents warned that the children must be watched so that they don't choke on them); respondents said these are great because the kids learn to like fruits and vegetables this way.

A majority of respondents who do use teething biscuits highly recommend Mi-Del Arrowroot Animal Crackers, sold at Wild Oats, Whole Foods, and many other supermarkets and groceries.

And, the following website has a thread on gf teething biscuits: http://forums.delphiforums.com/celiac/messages

    Also recommended are the following:
-- the animal cracker mix from Miss Robens
-- Health Valley gf rice crackers
-- Bette Hagmans "Bakes Bread" French Bread Mix made into a pizza crust that's a gum chewer for tots
-- toasted gf bread, cooled off, and cut into slivers
-- Gerber Fruit Wagon Wheels -- apple flavor and veggie flavor are both gf
-- Dr. Schar Grissin breadsticks broken into thirds
-- Dr. Schar Ladyfinger biscuits -- sold at www.glutenfree.com

In addition, some people make their own; I'll try to paste those recipes into another post, as I'm not quite sure I know how to add them to this one.
