Hi, all.
Recently my husband and I bought a one of those can openers that opens the can from the side, rather than the top. It is supposed to be safer, because it doesn't make the sharp edge. It seems to take the lid off the can, actually, and when I pull the lid away, there is something sticky that comes with it. More on some cans than others. Could this be glue? Does anyone know how lids are put on canned veggies, etc?
I don't know if I am having a bit of an unnamed stomach bug or getting hidden gluten, but I'm having a tinge of symptoms, so I'm looking around.
