Joyce Bender to Host VoiceAmerica
Radio Talk Show Focusing on Disability Matters

PITTSBURGH, PA--This fall, Joyce Bender will host her own Internet-based
talk radio show called "Disability Matters with Joyce Bender" on
VoiceAmerica. Beginning on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 and continuing each
subsequent Tuesday through December 30, 2003 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
eastern time, Joyce will discuss issues affecting people with disabilities.
Founded in September 2000, VoiceAmerica provides its audience with free
speech using streaming technology developed by its parent company SurfNet
Media Group. Bender Consulting Services, Inc. is funding the captioning for
the Internet radio broadcasts.

Joyce A. Bender is President and CEO of Bender Consulting Services, Inc.
(BCS) and its "sister company" Bender Consulting Services of Canada, Inc.
(BCSC). BCS provides competitive employment opportunities for Americans
with disabilities in the areas of technology, finance, human resources and
general business. Joyce has epilepsy and a hearing loss. In 1985, she had a
life-threatening accident due to epilepsy, which caused a cerebral
hemorrhage that required subsequent brain surgery. Against all odds, Joyce
recovered from this accident that left her with a 60 percent hearing loss in
one ear and a realization that she had epilepsy. As a result of her
personal experience, she developed a passion for helping people with
disabilities. Out of that passion, she founded BCS, in September 1995.
Since then, Ms. Bender received national recognition in June 1999, by
winning the President's Award from President Clinton at the White House.
The award is the highest honor given to an American who furthers the
employment and empowerment of people with disabilities. BCS does business
nationally within the United States, while BCSC works in both Ontario and
Quebec.
