Thanks for the welcome.

Are green beans in the same category as other more starchy beans?  I
am not sure of all of the principles of the paleo-diet but it seems
to me that beans that are growing on a plant could be picked and
eaten raw.  Isn't that a criteria  - that the food would be
accessible to primitive man and that he would find it desirable to
eat?

Also, it seems that I remember green beans having less than 40% the
calorie content of more starchy beans such as lima beans.
