I don't smoke, but I was behind a guy buying a pack of Marlboro Reds at
the store the other day - $4.75! If I'd ever had a desire to smoke, it
vanished when I realized a pack a day smoker around here would spend
$30.00 a week.

If one is truely addicted to smoking, he'll pay any amount to get his
smokes. I used to smoke many years ago but quit about 25 years ago. I
think they were $.60 a pack then; I think they're around $1.80 a pack
for generics here in Winston-Salem. Of course, we're home to RJR, one
of the tobacco biggies.
