Try the Online Bible. Despite its name, you don't read it online, but on
your own computer. The first versions ran under DOS, since 1997 it has been
a Windows-only program. The program is free, unless you pay about $50 or
$60 bucks or so to get two or three translation versions that are
copyrighted and not in the public domain.
The program comes with 20 or more different translations, including a few
translitterations and some somewhat obscure "literal" translations. It
comes with Strong's concordance, a Greek and Hebrew lexicon, a fewwhole and
partial commentaries, reference books, and topic and sermon notes by various
people. There are even some bible versions in several foreign languages
such as Spanish, French, German, and others. There is even a module for the
Qur'An (Koran).
