I managed to solve this problem by finding an update for the "XP Approved"
drivers. Doesn't "XP Approved" mean the drivers work?
Nevermind-thanks to those who offered assistance.

I suspect your problem is an IRQ, or DMA conflict. I use to have one of
these boards. These boards,, particularly the first versions, were
notorious for conflicts on the PCI bus. Certain PCI cards just wont work in
them, or won't work with other cards.
Try moving it to another slot, or shuffling your PCI cards around, or
changing the BIOS from Plug and Play OS, to non Plug and Play. But before
you start moving PCI slots, make an image file, and some notes where
everything is now, so you can go back to the existing working setup. It may
just turn out that it won't accept the card.
