I've had my insulin tested by my Dr, along with homocysteine.  You'd have
to ask for these tests, but I didn't get any argument.  Requires a blood
draw,
similar to cholesterol. My insulin was pretty low (10) while
homocysteine was 3, which
was good news for me.
