no it is vegies often grated or slices thinely packed in jar with salt to
extract the juice to the point whre the vegetables are recovered with their
own juices. ( a weight is iused to maintain the vegatbles in an anaerobic
condition . the frementation that occur without oxygene create acide lactic
. lacto comme from that .Sauercraut is the most known exemple of lacto
fermentation .
