I have been notified by Whole Foods Market that the opening for the
Whole Foods Bakehouse in the South and Mid-Atlantic region has
been moved back to an April or May opening.
I am not affilliated with Whole Foods Inc.

Whole Foods Market Announces New Gluten-Free Bakehouse
Whole Foods Market has recently approved construction of a 7000 sq. ft. dedicated gluten-free bakehouse facility near Raleigh, North Carolina. We plan to have our new facility open by February or March 2004, and we will be baking a wide variety of gluten-free products for shipment to stores in our South and Mid-Atlantic Regions. Product will include Breads, Pizza Crust, Muffins, Scones, Biscuits, Cakes, Pies and Cookies.

These are the same products that were featured recently on the television news network CNBC, and in a full page article in the food section of the Raleigh News and Observer. We served our gluten-free baked goods to rave reviews this year at national education conferences hosted by both the Gluten Intolerance Group and Celiac Sprue Association.

Is your local celiac support group looking for a place to meet? Many of our stores have meeting rooms available as a service to the community. Just ask to speak with the in-store marketing person at your local Whole Foods Market.
