For anyone looking for colleges that successfully accommodate
gluten-free eating, I just wanted to add that I have been pleased with
my dinning hall at Scripps College, one of the Claremont Colleges in
Southern California. The food service is extremely responsive to my
needs and provides the two other celiacs and me with gluten free bread,
cookies, and a variety of other dishes. They're also good about
providing vegan and vegetarian options daily. Even though Scripps is a
women's college, all five Claremont Colleges share dinning services, so
anyone interested in the other colleges would still be able to benefit
from the Scripps Dinning Hall.
I am happy to host any perspective students, however I am a senior, so
the spring will be my last semester.
Emily
