The next meeting of the Austin Celiac Support Association (Austin, TX) is
scheduled for Wednesday October 15, 2003 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be
held at Tarrytown United Methodist Church, 2601 Exposition Blvd., room 120.

Our topic for the meeting is cooking. We will have a talk on “Cooking
Outside the Box” by Mariah Justice from Wild Wood Art Café. Many of us
have enjoyed the wonderful gluten-free food at her café. Now we will get a
chance to learn from her. We will also have a chef; Georgia Hutton talking
about the gluten-free foods she makes and sharing samples with us.

Please bring a gluten free snack to share. It is important that included
with each snack is a listing of ingredients. Some of our members need to
avoid more than just gluten. If the recipe is either original or has been
changed at least 3 times, please bring the recipe. We can publish these
recipes in the recipe exchange section of our monthly newsletter.

Immediately preceding the meeting, our parent’s group will meet to discuss
any issues pertinent to raising celiac children. The parent’s meeting will
start at 6:30 p.m.

Please note that 15th/ Enfield Road is under construction from Lamar Blvd.
west into Tarrytown. If you normally travel to the church by this route
you will need to find another route. Lake Austin Blvd., Windsor Rd.,
Westover Rd., and 35th St. all intersect with Exposition Blvd.

If you have any questions, please contact Francie Kelley at
[log in to unmask] or
(512) 301-2224. We hope to see you at the meeting.
