Many thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my plea for help with
the above problem.
There was two things that had to be corrected.
(1)  The colour resolution was set at 350 under display in control panel,
probably my grandson when playing on of his games!!
(2)  Font was set at 18 and was reduced to 12
Changing the above seems to have helped, as so far I have had no problem
reading documents I tuype in M.Word.
