Lately, it seems that 1 out of 3 or 4 computers to come across my bench with
network problems have been plagued by
spy/adware.
I've had great success with Spysweeper and Adaware for removal. In some
cases, it seems I have to disable
system restore to keep the adware from reappearing upon reboot. Spysweeper
has found DNS server highjackers,
trojan adware, homepage highjackers, etc.
I'm not trying to advertise Webroot's "Spysweeper;" however, I began using
this one almost exclusively when I went
to CNET's download site and read the user reviews on other programs
available.
