I've looked at both the Kennwood and Icom rigs and I can tell you that the
ts2000 is a much more accessible rig.  I own a ts850 and for an everyday
rig it's great.  It's a bit large for portable operation though.  If
portability is the most important priority than the 7006 is probably the
best choice amoung the 100-watt do everything rigs.  I keep hearing that
Kennwood is working on a rig in that class but when I was at Dayton, they
didn't have the model developed yet. 73- kk3f
