I found the following gf products at a trade show that are in the
pipeline so they should be in stores within the next 3-12 months.
Besides being gf all are trying to be more health conscious in other
areas so hopefully the future of gf products is to have available lower
carb/lower fat prepared food items available for those that are not
willing or able to cook from scratch.

Dr. Praeger's is introducing a gf breaded fish. They plan on making this
gf year round and expect to have it in the stores before Passover 2004
(April 5, 2004). I didn't check to find out what the fat content or
calorie count but this company is very heart health conscious so should
be ok. I have found this product line in some health food stores so
hopefully it will be widely distributed. At this time this will be their
only gf product but am hoping that the sales of this product will show
them that we are a viable market which will encourage them to make other
gf products. Kosher.

S'Better Farms introduced 5 gf frozen entrees. I tasted 3 of them and
they were quite good. They had Chicken Fingers (12 oz packages-3
servings. I definitely will buy, not chipped meat with a nice teriyaki
spicing), party wings (12 oz packages-4 servings, not bland but not
ultra-hot), chicken szechwan (16 oz packages-4 servings. More like a
stir fry and NOT hot), chicken ballontine (16 oz packages-2 servings.
Boneless chicken with white & wild rice with mushroom stuffing), chicken
sicilian (16 oz packages-2 servings. Seasoned chicken breasts with fresh
tomatoes & herbs). All are clearly labeled wheat free, gluten free and
they are also trying to appeal to "health food shoppers, diabetics and
Atkin's dieters". They made them with "less breading or starchy
fillers...more protein and less carbohydrates". In microwavable trays.
Kosher under the Circle-K. I am not sure who will be carrying these
entrees since they are still looking for distribution.
