Sam,
I know that Yahoo started this sign up procedure when accounts where created
automatically by other computers in order to generate as many
advertisements as possible when you are online in Yahoo messenger or getting
e-mails by these different companies. The issue was specifically
troublesome to people who have very little or no sight whatsoever. I do
recall (this was many, many months ago) that people from the different JAWS
lists did complain to Yahoo. The solution that I can recall, was that you
had to e-mail Yahoo and wait for a response. Tell them why you are having
problems signing in and then they will assist you. I am not sure what they
are doing now, but of course it is not fair. It is usually a number or a
letter and very difficult to read even if you are sighted. This was
supposed to stop all of those companies from making so many accounts. I
would write to Yahoo.
Best regards,
Ann Wisdom

I am following up on the Yahoo sign-in issue - as you may know this
process is inaccessible because they make you cut and paste a graphic
image which Jaws cannot see into a form in order to avoid automatic
sign-ups. Some people have said that there is no other way to accomplish
this. This seems highly improbable to me, and I am trying to find out if
it's true. Are there any accessible ways of verifying user sign ups?
Thanks
Sam Goodin
