As someone who runs and moderates a number of lists, such as
guispeak, access-uk, JAWS-UK, Program-l, etc., may I
recommend Freelists.org.
It free, and there are no adverts. Administration is also
very easy, since it uses Encartis list software.

Wouldn't this be a subject for the moderators of this list?
OH moderator, moderator.
Where for art thou moderator?
Have you abandoned us in our hour of need, oh moderator?

: This isn't good news! A while ago I ran across a free
service that Yahoo
: has called Yahoo Groups. It allows you to set up email
lists like this one.
: However, I have no idea whether it would meet our needs
(i.e. archiveable
: messages, messages in digest form, ways to contact or look
up list members
: individually). Does anyone else know more about this? I
believe it's free.
