: Hi Deborah, and other interested parties:
I have found the alt t... e quite useful when printing addresses on
envelopes. I can print any size envelope as long as it is a standard size 4
by 8 business size. If I want to address my Christmas cards, yep you guessed
it I will have to fold the card to fit into the 4 by 8 size envelope.
Smile.
Where do you get one of these old fangled gadgets called a Typewriter?
Should I contact the Smithsonian?

: Hi Deborah,
:
: Lots of printers can handle envelopes of different sizes so you can run
: the envelope through and print the address directly on the envelope.
:
: There is also one other really radical concept here that I hesitate to
: mention for fear of being labeled a Luddite. But back in the stone ages
we
: had these things called typewriters. They were a mechanical machine that
: printed onto paper via striking an ink ribbon with a metal head embossed
: with the desired character. You actually had to operate them by hand. I
: know I know, pretty crazy to be talking of such things. But I have found
: them to be somewhat useful from time to time. GRIN
:
: Later.
