HI, If you are talking Sprint PCS, get your elderly friend/relative the
model RL-2000 phone. It is one of the larger phones currently available,
has a big display, a large--by today's standards--battery, and nicely
spaced, relatively big buttons. It also has the capability to do Sprint's
"Ready LInk", their "walkie-talkie" feature if the subscriber pays extra for
that service. It does not do camera, pictures, and a whole lot of the other
things that smaller phones do like the ones you described so aptly and said
you don't want. I think that RL-2000 model is made by Samsung. Oh, it
doesn't talk.
