Hi Keith:
If you can find the names of the viruses, you can then do a search on the internet for removal programs for that specific virus.  Do a search with the virus name at:
www.downloads.com
I usually find the removal programs there.

As for the stubburn adware, Press alt control delete and see what is running in the background.  Stop any programs that look suspicious and try removing the adware again.
The other option is to go under the spybot configuration and force it to do a scan the next time you reboot.
