Greetings All, long time no read.  Here's my quandry:

Have an old Omnibook 4150 that I use around the house for stuff like
backyard surfing, tiled library reading, etc.  One important use of this
unit was xfering files via PCMCIA harddrives to other units.  This past
weekend I put in an old Fujitsu drive that took up both slots (my 2GB
microdrive takes up one).  Wrote fine; ejected fine.  However when
inserting back my wi-fi card, I found it would not fit slot 0, just slot
1.  A divider had came loose and obstructed the slot.  Removed it with
screwdriver and hit a connector within.  From that point on, no
functionality with either slot.  Slot 0, no response whatsoever; slot 1
gives me audio acknowledgment when I insert any card (hd or network) but no
accessibility.  Can't see any drives in slot from Explorer; also, my wi-fi
client manager reports that no drivers are loaded (numerous re-installs and
still no joy).

Would it be cost effective to repair, or should I just hit the refurb
market for a replacement?  Also, is repair something an average tech/user
can accomplish?  TIA.
