This is incorrect. This hasn't been an issue for at least five years.
Modern controllers are smart enough to differentiate between various
devices on the same channel without any performance loss. There is however,
an on going argument about where on a ULTRA cable you should put a master
and a slave, ... the question being, should you put the Master on the first
or second connector....although my experience has shown that it doesn't matter.
