Unless you are talking about sharing one very expensive set of surround speakers, why bother going through that when you can get a set of speakers for $10? Not real good speakers, but for the cost of the A/B box who cares unless you are someone with golden ears listening to music and/or movies or doing serious gaming from your computer. If it is any of the latter three I'd suggest getting the a/b box which used to be a relatively cheap item at Radio Shack.
