Eating for fat loss is a thoroughly modern concept. But given the rigors of
living within nature in the paleo era, unchecked fat/weight loss could mean
death. In the absence of a disease state, could diminished thyroid
function to preserve fat/weight be simply a fail-safe mechanism that kicks
in to preserve life? Not an answer, just speculation.
