Social stability is a strong predictor of longevity, from what I
understand. Immigrants regardless of what country they come from or go
to face a much higher risk of heart disease and early death. Safe
stable countries also are places people live long, even after factoring
out child and youth death rates. Stress explains a lot. Might also
explain why married people tend to live longer.
