I don't believe anyone knows the exact dose necessary for optimum health.
However the preponderance of the evidence suggests that roughly a glass of
wine per day is healthful. Two glasses at most. More than two drinks per day
is probably asking for trouble. And of course people at risk of alcoholism
should drink something like ordinary grape juice in place of wine.

Getting back to the main idea in the subject header, in general I think it's
a mistake to say that consumption of any food consumed with any kind of
regularity by paleos is not healthful. In other words, contrary to the
subject header:

Consumption by Paleos = Healthful

The moment we start saying things like "This paleo food is good for us but
this other paleo food is not" is the moment that we've stepped outside the
bounds set by the theory.

There is nothing criminal about stepping outside the theory, but we would
need then to change the name of this mailing list to something like "Jim's
Diet Theory Support List". :-)
