Whatever one's defintion, here's a fact.  We'll NEVER be able to eat exactly
what our forebearers ate - much of it no longer exists.

As for using where we're from to determine what we eat, who knows how many
individual gene pools influenced what runs through the veins?  I'm so white
I'd burn your retinas and, according to my non-identifying adoption records,
I'm Irish/English/Scottish/French.  I'm also from the South - who's to say a
slave didn't jump in the pool at some point?  I doubt there are many "pure"
people out there.
