Habib,
I totally agree, Alimony, child support, fair division of property after
divorce even if the sister is a stay at home mom because she definitely lent
support towards that by holding the fort down while he went to work.Women in
our country have had the short end of the stick when it comes to these
matters for far too long.
I think they need to take time and draft rock solid legislation that the
courts will enforce and hopefully, there will also be some courageous people
in the judicial branch who will help to uphold these laws, including both
judges and lawyers.
However, there has to be a lawful government who respects our constitution at
the head of it all for anything that is in the legal books to work. If we
have one that is using the constitution as toilet paper, whatever legislation
is drafted means absolutley zilch, no matter how well drafted it may be.
