Hi, Listers,

Thank you so much for helping me solve my 'power problem.'  I have elected
to set my DEL PC to go into 'standby mode' in 45 minutes. The default, as
it turns out, is 20 minutes; I experienced it as ten.  I guess time flies
when you're having fun,!

One unsolved mystery: Many of you believe the system should be registering
activity on the monitor even during prolonged use of the 'say-all' or
'repeated scan' features and that the problem I reported shouldn't be
happening at all.  Is it possible that the lack of keyboard activity is
part of the phenomenon?
