Hi Robert,
If your drive is truly only DVD+R, then DVD-R disks won't work. Check your
drive though, most drives are dual format, supporting both. The faceplate
should list all compatible modes. There was a short period of time when
they were only one or the other, HP was the main supporter of the DVD+R format.
You could probably change your drive to a newer dual format drive. In fact,
many are also double layer (DL) drives, and can be had for ~$60 to $70
street price.
