For some reason, my Windoz XP Pro, SP2, no longer shuts down (or restarts).
If I select shutdown (or restart), any remaining programs are closed, then I
have a blue screen (not BSOD) and nothing further happens. I've waited 20
minutes to see if there was something taking an inordinate amount of time.
However, invariably, I must hold the power button in for a few seconds for a
forced shutdown. Boot-up appears normal.
Any suggestions? I've tried to check the Msoft KB, but I must be searching
with the wrong keywords; no joy.
Thank you.
