3rd party software needed for W2K or NT. MSCONFIG comes back in XP and
could be copied from XP to W2K, but these are better:

Spybot Search & Destroy also lists autostarting programs on its Tools tab.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Windows 2000 .... Msconfig
Hello!
I just formatted my Pc, before I used to have Windows 98 SE and I used to
type
"mscongig" on the Run to uncheck the programs that I don't want to be
running. Hoe can I do that on Windows 2000? Any idea of the programs that I
must leave running constantly in Windows 2000.
Thanks for all your help!
