I've been trying to enable remote desktop on my XP Pro machine that has a
cable modem and a Linksys router on a 3 computer network.
It works fine if I enter the computer name from a network computer, but not
if I enter the IP address.
I have added IIS and forwarded port 3389 to the XP pro machine, but still no
joy.
If I enter my IP address in a browser window I get the router setup window.
If I enter the IP address in a remote computer session I get a "Network may
be busy or IN correct setting" message.
The Help files are strangely silent on home router settings.
I had this working at one time, but I think I've changed something vital in
all my tweaking.
Can anyone help, or point me to a coherent tutorial?
