Hi,
This weekend I purchased a 30GB IBM/Hitachi replacement harddrive from a
local store for my old Dell Inspiron 3000 laptop (running Win95b). It
installed fine, but the system is only seeing 8 GB of the total.
From what I've been reading online, I understand now that this is a
limitation of the BIOS and/or OS. I've been scanning through the Dell
support forums, and there seems to be the implication that there are
workarounds for this, but I haven't found anything definitive.
Can anyone here point me in the direction of a (preferrably inexpensive)
solution?
Thanks,
Barry
