Jabou,

You may assume that I am trying to "defend" Jammmeh but in reality all
I attempting to do is changing the political tone. I know for a fact
that Jammeh was making fun of the opposition. All politicians the
world over do just the same. There was absolutely no need for Halifa
to call the world media inorder proof his academic credentials. The
concept of a democratic "loyal opposition" is what most Gambian
politicians fail to grasp. Without a sense of humor politics could be
too trite and virulent, and that can never help anyone.

Jammeh should never insult anybody, and I don't think he has done that
recently.

Ebou
