When I started on Synthroid, I developed a craving for hijiki (Japanese
seaweed).  I wanted it by the boxful!  The craving has diminished somewhat,
but it's still active.  In fact, my lunchtime was much too late today.  I
passed a health food store with a salad bar, and yes, took a big portion of
hijiki.

However, about a week ago I read on this list that such iodine-rich foods
are not a good idea for hypos.  I still don't understand why.  Maybe someone
can explain it to me again, or direct me to an explanation.
