Three years ago I had a thyroid adenoma removed, along with about 1/3 of my
thyroid.  Hypothyroidism accompanied the onset of the adenoma, and since
that time I've been on Levoxyl.  Haven't had any problems since.
 
But the discussion of cystic acne and chin hairs for women has made me
wonder whether there might be any connection between thyroid dysfunction and
polycystic ovaries, which my doctor also diagnosed at about the same time.
Once I got treatment for PCO, the acne was gone and the hair problem wasn't
as bad.  (Overweight, acne, and hair on chin & abdomen are classic PCO
symptoms.)  Anyone have any information about a possible connection between
PCO and thyroid problems, or have a similar experience?
