There is a book out called From Fatigued to Fantastic by dr Teiltelbaum. He
believes that chronic fatigue and related problems have to do with
hypothalamus malfunctioning. He also has a web site tho I dont have the
address. His article on the hypothalamus connection is not in the book, but
may be on the web site, it was written later.

He also connects all these things with neurally mediated hypotension -- a
type of low blood pressure that can be diagnosed by the tilt table test.
People who have it are apt to get very dizzy or pass out when standing.
