Becky,
They eye problems go along with the disease. My dad, myself
have experienced this tremendously. (My dad's eyes were bulging)
He had graves, I have hashimotos. I have noticed a severe loss of
being able to read because the letters seem to be getting too small
for me...but of course, it is just not being able to read small print.
I have to ask my daughter to read the medicine bottles for me, I have
glasses the magnify ( I work on a computer) but because I am farsighted
I don't wear them all the time, just for reading. I can't see anything
if I wear them all the time..(bifocals..)
The change in the liquid in the eye because of the thyroid malfunction
definitely does affect how the retina behaves.
