In my experience at least, the excess hunger that comes with hypO
is caused by a low blood sugar reaction... for me, hypo
causes my blood sugar to dip two hours or so after each meal, making
me hungry more often.
As for me (who started the thread) my doctor had me increase the Armour to
1 grain, because she said the extra fatigue was a sign I wasn't taking
enough. My body saw the Armour as a cue to stop producing so much on its
own, but the Armour I was taking wasn't sufficient to replace it, so I
felt worse. I feel slightly better on a higher dose, but I still feel
exhausted - slept poorly every night since I started the Armour. It's
like my mind/body are waking up after two years of being fuzzy-headed and
now they won't stay still.
