Hi, all,
This is my 2nd day taking Armour - 1/2 grain at first because I react
strongly to medication. It's too soon to say how well I'm doing on it
at the moment, but the past two days, anyway, I've felt worse than I have
in quite a while. The drowsiness is worse, my low blood sugar symptoms are
back - they had been somewhat under control, but in the past two days,
I've felt so hungry that I could eat anything in sight. It's only
noon, and I've already had a day's worth of food, and I'm still hungry...
I can't sleep well because I wake up to eat during the night.
There's a seeming contradiction I haven't yet figured out... Thyroid
hormone is supposed to speed up the metabolism (which presumably would
make you eat more), but at the same time keep hypoglycemia under control
(presumably meaning you don't feel the need to eat as often). I don't
get it.
I am so frustrated... I thought I'd finally found what was wrong and how
to fix it, but all it's done so far is make the symptoms worse. Is this
an unusual reaction? I'll keep taking it for a little while longer,
then decide whether to keep with it or not.
Sarah
