Jeff,

You were right on with that one.  I'd seen a similar suggestion but it
wasn't the "real" MS instructions.  Apparently after removing the MS Network
Client the computer needs to be restarted and then the MS Client added.
Worked for me.  It eliminated the startup "can't find the file calls".

 Now I need to get the network connection running.  When I check the device
manager under Systems in Control Panel, it says the NIC is properly
installed and functioning.  However I can't get through my router to the
Internet.  I'm going to try a direct connection now and will get back to the
group if I continue to have problems seeing the Internet.
