Yes, Kat.  You beat yourself up something bad over that whole affair.  The
best we can do, I guess, is to strive harder at keeping close to the loved
ones that are still here.

I know...an old friend of mine died last year (you may recall my talking
about him) and he'd been ill, and I'd been meaning to call him, but...  You
know the rest.  An all-too-familiar story, I'm afraid.  I still feel a pang
of regret whenever I think about him.
