Every time I try to dial up, my PC opens the port and then freezes up taking all the resources into svchost.exe!  I have to hard reboot just to stop this--it stays this way not releasing the resources (even for days).  THEN, it will OCCASIONALLY allow the modem to dialup.  I think the machine is Whacked Up!  If anyone knows what is going o with this piece of trash I would appreciate any help!  I am running a P3 1Gig w/396 Megs Ram on XP Pro.
